Purchases & Downloads

Where can I download my purchased products?

Sign in to your account on this website to access your purchased products. You can also download them through the link included in your purchase email.

What should I do if I have lost my purchase email or download link?

First, sign in to your account on this website and open your purchased products. If you still cannot access the files, contact us through Discord or Facebook. Discord will normally be the faster option.

Are future product updates free?

Yes. Existing customers always receive future updates to products they have purchased at no additional cost. This remains true even if the product price increases later.

Installation

How do I install an 850 Modding product?
  1. Download the product files from your account or purchase email.
  2. Move every supplied file ending in .scs to Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod.
  3. Start American Truck Simulator and select the profile on which you want to use the product.
  4. Open Mod Manager. On current game versions, it can be found under Extras from the main menu.
  5. Find each required file under Available Mods and double-click it, or use the arrow control, to move it to Active Mods.
  6. Arrange the files in the required priority order and select Confirm Changes.
  7. Load your profile and confirm that the product appears correctly in game.
Should I unpack or extract the downloaded files?

No. Do not unpack or extract the files unless a README supplied with that specific product tells you to do so. Place the supplied .scs files directly in the ATS mod folder.

Which load order should I use?

Files placed higher in the Active Mods list have higher priority and can override matching content in files below them. As a general rule, place the main truck or trailer file below any supplied support, sound, lighting, paint, patch or add-on files that modify it.

If the product page or included README provides a specific load order, follow that order exactly. A product-specific order always takes priority over the general rule.

Compatibility & Updates

Where can I check current ATS compatibility?

Use the Mod Status & Compatibility page as the current source of truth for supported ATS versions, product versions and update status.

What should I do before updating American Truck Simulator?

Complete any active delivery before updating the game, particularly when using a mod trailer or cargo. This reduces the risk of save or cargo problems if an update changes how the game handles that content.

After completing the delivery, check the Mod Status & Compatibility page before using your installed products with the new ATS version.

How quickly are version-locked products updated?

Version-locked products are updated as soon as reasonably possible based on the team's availability. We do not promise a fixed completion time, but the current progress will be shown on the Mod Status & Compatibility page.

Can older product versions be used with older ATS versions?

Older product versions may be used with the older ATS version for which they were created. However, truck releases updated for ATS 1.60 or later may contain animations that are not supported by earlier game versions.

For trailers, older-version support extends back only to ATS 1.54 because that update introduced major changes to trailer content. Always use a product build intended for your ATS version.

Troubleshooting & Support

What should I try before contacting support?
  1. Check the Mod Status & Compatibility page and confirm that your product version supports your ATS version.
  2. Download a fresh copy of the product and replace the existing files.
  3. Confirm that every required .scs file is active and arranged in the correct load order.
  4. If the problem occurs on a profile that already contains other mods, test the product without those other mods or on a clean test profile.
What must I include in a bug report?

Include all of the following:

  • Your American Truck Simulator version.
  • The installed 850 Modding product version.
  • Your complete game.log.txt file.
  • Your active mod list and load order.
  • A clear description of what happened.
  • Exact steps that allow us to reproduce the problem.
  • Screenshots or video when they are useful or requested.

The log file is normally located at Documents\American Truck Simulator\game.log.txt. Send the complete file rather than copying only selected errors from it.

Where should I contact support?

Use Discord as the primary support channel. If you do not use Discord, contact us through Facebook. No other support channels are currently available.

Personal Edits & Redistribution

Can I make private changes to an 850 Modding product?

850 Modding products distributed free of charge may be modified for private personal use. Paid products may not be modified unless explicit permission is provided.

This permission applies only to private edits. It does not allow original or edited files to be shared, reuploaded, redistributed, sold or monetized, and it does not allow parts or assets to be reused in another public release.

Private edits may be shown in screenshots and videos as long as no original or edited files are distributed.

Can I share, reupload or distribute the files?

No. You may not share or reupload original files, edited versions or product download links. You may not use 850 Modding parts or assets in another public project without explicit permission.

Unauthorized distribution violates the Terms and Conditions and may result in the loss of access to the product.

Pre-orders

How will I receive a pre-ordered product when it is released?

The released files will become available through your account on this website. Sellfy does not automatically send a release notification when the files are added, so 850 Modding will also send customers a manual email when the product becomes available.

Can a planned release date change?

Yes. A planned release date may change if additional development or testing is required. Any change will be communicated clearly, with a reason provided when appropriate.

What should I do if a pre-order has been released but I cannot access it?

First, sign in to your account and check the product there. If access is still missing, contact us through Discord or Facebook.

Refunds & Terms

Can I receive a refund after downloading a product?

Paid products are supplied as digital content. A change-of-mind refund is normally unavailable once delivery has begun where the customer has expressly requested immediate delivery and acknowledged that the statutory right of withdrawal will end when delivery begins.

This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights if the digital content is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise non-conforming. Read the complete Terms and Conditions for the full policy and applicable conditions.
