Terms & Conditions of Sale

Effective date: 20th of August 2026

These Terms & Conditions of Sale govern purchases, downloads and use of digital products supplied by 850 Modding through 850modding.com and its Sellfy-powered store. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these Terms and any product-specific information displayed before purchase.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Important licence summary

  • Purchases grant a personal licence to use the product; ownership of the files and their intellectual property is not transferred.
  • Private edits are permitted for free 850 Modding products unless stated otherwise. Paid products may not be modified without prior written permission.
  • Neither original nor modified files may be shared, reuploaded, redistributed, sold or included in another public release.
  • Parts and assets may not be extracted for use in another public or commercial project.
  • Updates released for a purchased product remain free for existing customers, including after a later price increase.

1. Orders and formation of the agreement

  • The customer must provide accurate order and payment information and must be authorised to use the selected payment method.
  • The customer must be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the purchase.
  • A paid order is accepted when payment has been confirmed and the order confirmation has been issued. A pre-order is accepted when payment and the pre-order confirmation have been issued.
  • Each product is supplied as digital content under licence. The transaction does not transfer ownership of the product files, models, textures, sounds, code or other intellectual property.
  • 850 Modding may cancel an order affected by an obvious pricing or technical error, suspected fraud, an unauthorised payment or another lawful reason. Any payment collected for a cancelled order will be returned.

2. Product information and compatibility

Products are modifications for American Truck Simulator unless the product page expressly states otherwise. Before purchase, the customer must review the product description, included content, supported game version, required files, installation instructions and any stated load order.

  • The current compatibility information is published on the Mod Status & Compatibility page.
  • A version-locked product must only be used with the exact American Truck Simulator version identified for that release.
  • A product that is not version-locked may continue to work after a game update, but this cannot be guaranteed until the new game version has been checked.
  • Compatibility with third-party mods, beta versions, unofficial game builds or manually altered game installations is not guaranteed.
  • Product images may show combinations or third-party content for presentation purposes. The written product description and included download files determine what is supplied.

Customers are advised to complete active deliveries before updating American Truck Simulator and to check the compatibility page before loading an existing profile after a major game update.

3. Prices and payment

  • The price, applicable taxes and any additional charges are shown before the order is submitted.
  • Payments are processed through the payment methods offered by Sellfy, including Stripe and PayPal where available.
  • Currency-conversion charges or other fees applied by the customer's bank or payment provider are outside 850 Modding's control.
  • Discounts and promotions apply only during their stated period and are not applied retrospectively to earlier purchases.
  • If the same product is purchased twice by mistake, 850 Modding may provide a refund or store credit for the duplicate order if the duplicate download files have not been accessed.

4. Digital delivery and customer access

Unless a product is identified as a pre-order, digital files are normally made available after payment through the order-confirmation page, the customer's Sellfy account and the download link sent to the purchase email address.

  • The customer is responsible for entering and maintaining a valid email address.
  • Purchase emails, account credentials and download links must be kept private.
  • If an email or download link is lost, the customer should first sign in to the store account used for the purchase. If access cannot be recovered, the customer may request assistance through the available support options.
  • 850 Modding may verify ownership of the order before restoring access or providing support.

5. Licence and permitted use

Subject to compliance with these Terms, the customer receives a limited, non-exclusive, personal and non-transferable licence to install and use the purchased or downloaded product with compatible game installations under the customer's control.

Customers may display ordinary gameplay, screenshots, recorded videos and livestreams featuring 850 Modding products. Private edits that are permitted under Section 6 may also be shown in screenshots and videos. The customer must not claim authorship of the product or misrepresent its creator or credits.

6. Personal edits

Free products: Private personal edits are permitted unless a product page states otherwise. An edited free product may be used privately and shown in screenshots or videos, but the edited files may not be distributed, reuploaded, sold, monetised or released publicly.

Paid products: Paid products may not be opened, accessed or modified for editing purposes unless 850 Modding has given prior written permission.

Permission to make a private edit never includes permission to redistribute the product, reuse its assets in another release or provide the edited files to another person. A specific written permission from 850 Modding may grant additional rights only to the extent expressly stated in that permission.

7. Prohibited use and redistribution

The following actions are prohibited for both paid and free products:

  • Sharing, reuploading, redistributing or transferring original or modified files, in full or in part.
  • Sharing purchase emails, download links, account access or any other method of obtaining the files.
  • Selling, sublicensing, renting or otherwise monetising the product files or an edited version.
  • Extracting or reusing models, textures, sounds, animations, definitions, code or other assets in another public or commercial project.
  • Uploading the product to a mod-hosting, file-sharing, marketplace, archive or similar service without written permission.
  • Removing or falsifying credits, watermarks, copyright information or ownership information.
  • Circumventing technical protection applied to locked or protected files.

These restrictions do not prevent the ordinary screenshots, videos or livestreams permitted under Section 5.

8. Product updates

  • Updates released for the same product are provided without additional charge to existing customers.
  • An existing customer remains entitled to those product updates even if the product's sale price later increases.
  • Updates are made available through the customer's store account or the existing purchase link.
  • Compatibility work and other updates are released as soon as reasonably practical for the team, but no fixed completion time is promised.
  • An update or rework may change the file structure, included options, installation method, load order or supported game version.

This update entitlement applies to the purchased product and does not automatically include a different product sold under a separate store listing.

9. Pre-orders

  • A pre-order provides access to the identified product when it is released.
  • Planned release dates are estimates and may change. If a material delay occurs, 850 Modding will communicate the change clearly and provide a reason where appropriate.
  • When the product is released, access will be added to the customer's store account and 850 Modding will send a manual release email to the purchase address.
  • If the product has been released but access is missing, the customer should request assistance through the available support options.
  • Any applicable statutory withdrawal rights remain unaffected by this section.

10. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Consumers purchasing at a distance generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Special rules apply to paid digital content that is supplied without a physical medium.

Where the customer expressly requests that supply begins during the withdrawal period, acknowledges that the right of withdrawal will be lost when supply begins, and receives the legally required confirmation, the right of withdrawal ends once supply of the digital content has begun. In that situation, 850 Modding does not provide a change-of-mind refund after delivery has begun.

If the legally required consent, acknowledgement or confirmation has not been provided, any statutory withdrawal right remains unaffected. Where a right of withdrawal exists, it may be exercised through the online withdrawal function.

The following principles also apply:

  • A refund or store credit may be issued for an accidental duplicate purchase if the duplicate files have not been accessed.
  • No change-of-mind refund is normally provided merely because the customer overlooked a clearly stated compatibility requirement, required game version, required DLC or installation instruction.
  • If digital content is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise non-conforming, the customer's statutory rights to correction, replacement, price reduction or refund remain unaffected.
  • Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.

11. Troubleshooting, complaints and support

Before requesting technical support, the customer should download a fresh copy, confirm the listed compatibility, verify the product-specific load order and, where relevant, test the product without unrelated mods on a clean or separate profile.

A useful technical report should include:

  • American Truck Simulator version and product version.
  • The complete game.log.txt file.
  • The active mod list and load order.
  • A clear description of what happened and the steps required to reproduce it.
  • Screenshots or video where they help demonstrate the issue.

The currently available support options are listed on the Help & Support page. No fixed response time is guaranteed.

850 Modding may end abusive or threatening conversations and may decline optional technical assistance where ownership cannot be verified. This does not remove a customer's right to submit a statutory complaint or exercise any mandatory legal remedy.

12. Intellectual property and credits

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the products, website materials, downloadable files, models, textures, sounds, animations, definitions, code, photographs, videos, branding and written content are owned by or licensed to 850 Modding and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Product-specific credits identify third-party contributors or licensors and form part of the product information. No licence granted under these Terms transfers ownership of 850 Modding material or third-party material.

American Truck Simulator and related trademarks are the property of SCS Software. 850 Modding is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with SCS Software unless expressly stated.

13. Breach, unauthorised sharing and access restrictions

Unauthorised sharing, redistribution, resale, asset reuse or circumvention of file protection is a material breach of these Terms. Where permitted by law and proportionate to the breach, 850 Modding may:

  • Suspend or terminate download access and optional support.
  • Refuse future sales.
  • Submit removal notices to websites, hosts, platforms or search providers.
  • Use relevant order and download records to investigate the breach or respond to a payment dispute.
  • Pursue other available legal remedies.

Nothing in this section removes mandatory consumer rights relating to a valid purchase except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Availability, promotions and product changes

850 Modding may change prices, promotions, product descriptions, screenshots, included options and future development plans for later purchases. Such changes do not create a right to a retrospective discount and do not remove the update entitlement attached to an existing purchase.

A product may be temporarily removed from sale or discontinued. Where reasonably possible and unless access has lawfully been restricted because of a breach, existing customers will retain access to the files and updates already made available for their purchase.

15. Technical limitations and liability

850 Modding products operate within third-party game software that may be changed by its developer. Customers should back up important profiles and configuration files before installing mods or updating the game.

To the extent permitted by law, 850 Modding is not responsible for faults caused solely by incompatible third-party mods, unsupported game versions, altered files, incorrect installation, ignored load-order instructions or changes made by a third-party platform or game developer.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or limits the remedies available to a consumer for digital content that does not conform to the agreement.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and the agreement are governed by Swedish law. A consumer also retains the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies in the country where the consumer habitually resides.

The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute directly through the available support options. A Swedish consumer may also request alternative dispute resolution through Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN) where its requirements are met.

Disputes that cannot be resolved by agreement or an available alternative procedure may be submitted to a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.

17. Changes to these Terms

850 Modding may update these Terms for future purchases when business practices, products, platforms or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version.

The Terms accepted when an order was placed continue to govern that order unless a later change is required by law or the parties expressly agree otherwise. A later version will not retroactively remove mandatory rights or the promised free-update entitlement attached to an existing purchase.

18. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure by 850 Modding to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, the applicable product page, the order confirmation and any expressly incorporated product-specific licence form the agreement concerning the purchase. If a product-specific written term conflicts with a general term, the product-specific term applies to that product to the extent permitted by law.
