Bring a rugged Canadian vocational truck into American Truck Simulator with the free Edison Motors BDE. The truck is designed around the practical, heavy-duty work performed by logging, oilfield and recovery equipment.
Created at the request of Edison Motors, the mod includes three distinct configurations: a conventional tridrive tractor, a complete winch truck and a heavy wrecker. Each setup gives the truck a clearly defined role rather than limiting it to a single showcase configuration.

Built for different roles
Use the tridrive tractor for conventional heavy hauling, configure the winch truck for oilfield and remote-site work or build the heavy wrecker for recovery operations. The three configurations allow the BDE to support very different fleets while retaining the same rugged Canadian vocational identity.
Performance note
The BDE is a highly detailed, polygon-heavy model. An average-or-better PC is recommended for smoother performance, particularly in busy areas or when the truck is combined with other detailed vehicles and graphics-heavy mods.
Planned diesel-electric drivetrain
The real Edison BDE is available with diesel-electric technology. The ATS version will receive a diesel-electric drivetrain as soon as the game engine provides enough support to reproduce the system properly.
Until then, the current drivetrain will remain in place rather than using an inaccurate workaround that cannot represent the real system correctly.
